Prepping, Cooking and Cleaning

This is one of the best parts about FNB. We have some folks who work with us who are excellent cooks, and you will most assuredly enjoy cooking with them and will be able to learn from their abilities and intuition. Cooking is always fun as it is often a surprise what we will have to work with, and what we collectively decide to make. There will usually be coffee and baked goods of some kind to help you nurse that morning hangover.

This is where we serve up the goodness, regularly, at market square. We often serve over 20 people, sometimes as many as 40. However, with more donations and more folks involved, we should be able to serve 50 or more! We would call this a serve, however, if you know about our principles of solidarity not charity, you might see why we call it something different.
Organizing
If you are good at facilitating meetings, sending out minutes, taking stack, consensus decision making, and all that goodness, then we could definitely use your help in that regard (if you don't yet, than we would be glad to help you to learn how!) We also need help sending out emails, creating events on facebook, and all that jazz. West Side Cleveland FNB has become a great place to recruit rad folks from all over the Cleveland Area, so joining us to organize this effort will also, in turn, help to bolster other radical agendas in the community.
Resource Gathering
We need gleaners and good talkers. We need folks who can help us to secure regular donations from local grocery stores, restaurants and suppliers, as well as from local farmers, urban gardeners, and other organizations. We also need help from gleaners, who can help us save some goodies from the waste stream. Please contact us (below) or come to some of the meetings if you would like to join us in this effort.
Drivers
We need drivers to get to special events, and we also need drivers to pick up donations from area businesses and whatnot. Because we are all crazy cyclists, most of us do not have access to automobiles, so the more the merrier. Also, if you have access to bike trailers, heavy trikes, etc. you can help us to better fight the war machine by relieving our petrol dependence.
